Jan Shatabdi Express
Jan Shatabdi Express is a series of fast daytime trains run by the Indian Railways. These trains were introduced to be an affordable alternative to the more premium Shatabdi Express. The word ‘Jan’ means common people. The first Jan Shatabdi Express train ran from Mumbai to Madgaon in April 2002.
Unlike the Shatabdi Express, which is fully air-conditioned, these trains offer both AC and non-AC seating options for budget-friendly travel. Apart from that, Jan Shatabdi trains also come with all basic travel facilities like charging points, clean toilets, and comfortable seats.
