Qutub Minar
Qutub Minar is a 73-meter tall tapering tower of five storeys, with a 14.3-meter diameter base, constructed in 1192 of red sandstone and white marble. Qutub Minar was built by Qutb al-Din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi and its surrounding areas when he defeated the last Hindu ruler. The minaret is named after him.
India Gate
The India Gate is a national monument in India. It is located in the capital city, New Delhi. The monument was built in 1931. It is a war memorial for the Indian soldiers who died during World War I and the Third Anglo-Afghan War. It is also known as the "All India War Memorial". The monument has an eternal flame that burns day and night in memory of the soldiers who died.
