Qutub Minar is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Qutab-ud-din Aibak built this beautiful 70-metre-tall minaret in 1193 after his victory over the last Hindu empire. The ornate five-storied structure is made of red and grey sandstone and has inscriptions from the Quran.

Red Fort

The Red Fort (Lal Qila) was built in 1648 by Shah Jahan. The red sandstone tall-walled structure covers an area of two square kilometres. You come across the bazaar at the entrance through the gate. The Naubat Khana and Diwan-i-am are worth seeing. The Indian national flag is hoisted at the Red Fort on Independence Day.

National Zoological Park

This zoo was established in 1959. The zoo houses 1,500 birds and animal species from all over the world. The reptile complex attracts the kids the most. Small electrical vehicles are available, giving you a guided zoo tour.

Laxminarayan Temple

This temple, also known as Birla Temple, was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi in 1939. The majestic Birla Temple is spread across 8 acres and is dedicated to Goddess Laxmi.
