  • GSRTC launch Volvo bus from Rajkot to Ahmedabad Airport. The bus has a capacity of 42 seats, with tickets costing Rs 553. The bus departs from Rajkot Bus Depot at 5 p.m. and arrives at Ahmedabad Airport in four hours. According to GSRTC officials, it departs from the airport and arrives in Rajkot at 6 a.m.
  • The Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation, led by Chief Minister Shri Bhupendra Patel, debuts a cutting-edge double-decker AC electric bus for the first time in the state.
  • GSRTC plans to buy 2,500 buses by March 2024. It ordered 1,282 55-seater Ashok Leyland buses, bought chassis for 800 more to build at our workshops, and will manufacture 200 sleeper buses. GSRTC Vice-chairman and Managing Director MA Gandhi said they won't operate an overage bus beyond May 2024.
  • During the Diwali festival, the GSRTC runs extra buses for the jewellers of Saurashtra and North Gujarat and the labourers of Dahod and Panchmahal who live in Surat city so that they can quickly travel to their hometowns. Meanwhile, Surat GSRTC will pick up 2500 buses from 5 depots in the town from 7th to 11th November.
  • Rajkot's new satellite bus station of GSRTC ( Gujarat State Road Transport Corporation) will open on Bhavnagar Road. This bus station is intended to cater to the bus traffic heading towards the eastern districts from Rajkot.
