They had the shamelessness to keep switching off the AC and when asked about it, they said it's automatic and cuts off automatically when the bus has cooled down. We were sweating more than relaxing. Stopped at Bokakhat for 5-10 minutes for some unloading. I've never ridden a bus where the operators were too keen to turn off the AC on every small pretext.
